No experience, corrected vision, intelligence, or athletic ability required.
This is the event you’ve all been waiting for since college graduation and the optimum way to kick-off spring 2009.
Please join us and scores of our closest friends and family for a day of festivities at Fort Hunt Park, which is located right off the George Washington Parkway in Alexandria and includes outdoor grills, restrooms, and a playground for the wee people (or adults wishing to get in a workout between beers, songs, and/or games). Once the setting for World War II military intelligence operations and coastal fortification in the Spanish-American War, Fort Hunt will now be home to an incredibly frivolous and ostentatious cookout extravaganza guaranteed to please patriots of all walks of life.
Live music will be provided by Basshound – a mainstay live jazz-funk act in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area for over five years.
The tourney will start promptly at noon but practice boards will be ready by 11am. Please visit the evite to RSVP and click the PayPal button to pay and officially register your partner and team name.
$50/team includes tourney entrance fee, beer for 21+, live entertainment, and prizes. $15 per person includes all except tourney entrance fee. A paypal link is provided on the evite. Advance payment for tournament play is required, and quick sign-up encouraged as the tournament will fill up fast!
Lastly, feel free to pass the word along to friends, family, significant others, and insignificant others alike. Just ‘cause you don’t like somebody doesn’t mean we won’t. Ready, set, CORNHOLE!

CapitolCornhole.org was founded by three former politically-minded colleagues Matt, Bryan, and Brian. The three bring their competitive and organizational skills as well as an appetite for fun to CapitolCornhole from three separate backgrounds...Boston, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin. The brainchild of a water-cooler conversation, CapitolCornhole is a not-for-profit venture established to promote fun-times, competition, and memories of those college parties you still reminice about to this day. In the future, look for seasonal CornHole Tournaments and a league to formulate. Be sure to check www.capitolcornhole.org regularly for upcoming events in the Washington, DC metro area.
Basshound has evolved into a mainstay live act in the Baltimore and Washington DC groove scene over the past 5 years. Having released their debut E.P. in Spring 2007, Basshound proved to show the maturity of their individual playing on record, and since has received accolades from local newspapers and music critics, being named one of the regions finest.
